Resources

San Mateo County School Districts have relationships with a number of community resources, including San Mateo County Office of Education-based programs, County initiative programs, non-profits and other local organizations, that provide supplemental supports to students. Each District is unique in its needs and the relationships it has developed. Some partner programs support academics, some are enrichment-based, and others support basic student & family needs related to health, wellness and shelter.

The following is a list of supports, by District, which is not comprehensive by any means, but provides a sample of these relationships and program offerings:

Homework Central - After school academic support and mentoring.
Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club - After school academic support and mentoring.
Parent Involvement Project (PIP) - A preschool program that seeks to address the achievement gap by uniting community, parents and schools. The PIP's innovative approach provides high quality learning experiences to enable parents to have a more positive and supportive impact on their students development.
